ARKITEKTURMÄSSAN AWARDS aims to pinpoint Scandinavia's best architecture. The competition addresses all architects within the nordic countries.
On Arkitekturmässan 2011 the Nordic region’s only complete architecture competition was carried out. The international and renowned three-man jury selected the winners in the following categories:
- Nominations & winner for best building 2011
- Nominations & winner for public space 2011
- Nominations & winner for best urban plan 2011
The competition was decided in two steps. Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden all had their own selection committee. The task of the committees was to nominate the best each country had achieved in the last year. After that, the final jury took over the assessment. The winners was announced during an awards ceremony, which was held at a party concluding day one.
