ARKITEKTURMÄSSAN AWARDS 2011 erhöll följande vinnare från den internationella jury i kategorin bästa byggnadsverk:

Arkitektkontor: Snöhetta Arkitekter.

Projekt: Reindeer Pavilion.

Fotograf: Ketil Jacobsen.

”The norwegian jury nominated the Norwegian wild reindeer center pavilion because of its iconic, yet not explicitly linguistic identity. Its iconicity is ultimately a function created by the framed relation between Nature and the man-made. It’s the striking way of merging architecture and landscape that creates the shift between empirical visual connectedness and cultural convention.  Considerable emphasis is put on the detailing refinement and on the quality of natural building materials that reference local building traditions. At the same time, new technologies were utilized to bring efficiency to the fabrication process, creating a contrast between analog and digital processes.”
